Today we are spotlighting Paula Huerta. Paula was nominated by Mrs. Payne for being a great student! She is quiet, respectful, and always has a smile. Could not ask for a better student than Paula, so happy she is in my class!
Anyone interested to play Men’s JV or Varsity Basketball this year, there will be a meeting in the gym at lunch today.
Powderpuff football is tonight! Game 1 will be Seniors Vs. Freshman starting at 6pm. Followed by game 2 Sophomores vs. Juniors, and game 3 will be the winners’ bracket. Everyone is invited to attend. Come out and cheer on your class Seniors are black & gold, Juniors are pink, sophomores are blue, and freshmen are orange with a neon theme. There will be a $5 admission for anyone who is not participating in the games and you can also donate money to Breast Cancer Awareness.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes would like to invite everyone to meet in the lecture hall each Thursday morning from 7:40-7:55am. All are welcome please plan to join us for prayer and fellowship together.
The makeup day for school photos for all students, including seniors, will be October 25th. This will be the last opportunity to have your photo taken for the yearbook.
Yearbook messages for seniors are still available; however, the price has increased this week. All messages are due to Mrs. Beck by October 31st. Also, senior quotes are due this Friday. Complete the senior quote Google form in your email, and you can email Mrs. Beck if you have questions.
Get your Krispy Kreme doughnuts orders in! The pre-orders end next Wednesday, October 25. FBLA members when you collect money for a full sheet bring it to Mr. Penland this week for deposit!
Our Tri-County Liaison, Jena Sefcheck, will be here this today and next Monday to help HHS students register for spring Tri-County classes and to answer any questions.
And finally, when you see a JV Volleyball player today, tell her CONGRATULATIONS! The team capped a perfect undefeated season last night in the Championship game of the Smoky Mountain Conference tournament which makes this the second year in a row! Great job ladies!
