NHS - We are pleased to announce that the following students have been selected for membership in the Palladian chapter of the National Honor Society at Hayesville High School. They were selected because of their outstanding academic achievement, service, character, and leadership abilities. We are very proud of these students for their accomplishments. New members, we thank you for your positive impact on the HHS community of learners!

Big congratulations to the students of Global Studies classes. To date, they have collectively donated over 100,000 grains of rice to needy countries — by answering 10,000 geography, vocabulary, language and humanities questions on Freerice is a major project of the World Food Programme, which just last week was awarded the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize. So congratulations to the Hayesville students who played a role in this! Great reminder of the global impact you can have.

Makeup pictures - Mark your calendars. We have a date set for school photo makeups and re-takes on Tuesday November 3rd. This will be for grades 9-11.

Google Classroom - Students in Mrs. Beck's Journalism class have been creating some tip sheets for students and parents on using Google Classroom. Thanks to Cody Bober, Whitley Sumter and Tommy Urbaniuk for creating these!

FREE ACT prep programs are available to HHS students in grades 10-12. In order to access these materials you will need to visit to log in. Your username is your powerschool ID and the password is gearup. Using the FREE resources will allow you to practice the ACT, learn time management strategies and get help with subject-specific tips and strategies.

Our school is committed to constantly improving the safety of our students and staff. In doing so we have trained all of our students to recognize the signs of at-risk behaviors and to utilize the states new anonymous reporting system. Below you will find more information about this program.
