Selective Service-All young men 18 years of age must register. You can
register on line at www.sss.gov. You must register within 30 days of your 18th
birthday. Failing to register could affect financial aid for colleges. What you

Hayesville High School's annual Meet the
Teachers Open House will be held on Monday, October 1 from 6-8:00 p.m. Parents are encouraged to attend to meet
their student’s teachers and also to attend one of two 30-minute college
planning information sessions conducted by the College Foundation of North
Carolina. The college planning sessions
will be held at 6:30 and 7:30 in the high school lecture hall and will provide
valuable information about college entrance and financial aid. Parents of students in grades 9-12 may
attend either of the sessions and still have time to meet the teachers.
