Financial Aid
Workshop in the Hayesville High School Lecture Hall at 6:30 P.M. on
February 4, 2008. There will be college representatives from Western Carolina
University, Tri-County Community College, Young Harris College, North Georgia
Technical College and a CFNC representative. Also the FAFSA form will be
explained. Everyone is welcome so please try to attend.
-Academic
achievement, financial need, extracurricular activities, and leadership
qualities
-Renewable for four
years
-High school may
nominate one student
-Must complete
Financial Aide PROFILE,
register and file PROFILE by February 8, 2008
-Application due to
Mrs. Nicholson by January 18, 2008
Register with the
Selective Service-All young men 18 years of age must register. You can
register on line at www.sss.gov. You must register within 30 days of your 18th
birthday. Failing to register could affect financial aid for colleges.
Information about registering for the Selective Service is available in the
Guidance Office.
-Awards could be up
to $5,000 per year
-Must earn a minimum
cumulative GPA of 2.75
-Demonstrate
financial need
-Plan to pursue a
bachelor’s degree at a public, in-state college or university (start no later
that 9/30/08)
-Application is

-100-$1,500
scholarships
-High school senior
from a farm family with an above average academic record that plans to enroll
as a full-time student in an agricultural related academic major at an
accredited school
-Applicants are
evaluated on their high school records, standardized test results,
extracurricular activities and personal application essays
-Application is

and is due February 15, 2008
