NC A & T State University Landscape Architects Scholarship

-Five $2,000 scholarships available

-Must be enrolled in a four year program

-Must have an overall GPA of 2.5 (4.0 scale) and an SAT score of 940 or better

-Application due by July 1, 2008

                                 

Little Mountaineer Scholarship

-To encourage further study in dairy and/or agriculture science but is not limited to these studies

-$1,500 payable over three years

-Applications must be postmarked by May 1, 2007

 

The scholarships listed below are scholarships that are chosen by Hayesville High School scholarship committee. These scholarships are listed on one application and are due to Mrs. Nicholson by 3:00 PM, April 29, 2008

 

 The Paul Maliska Memorial Scholarship (must be athlete with financial need)

 

Clay County Lions Club Scholarship (preference given to but not limited to visually

impaired students in the average to above average ranking with financial need, not receiving the Pell Grant)

 

Clay County Chamber of Commerce (students in the average ranking with

 financial need, not receiving the Pell Grant)

 

Bank of Hiawassee Scholarship (based on academics, character, leadership

and community service)

 

Rachelle Edwards Memorial Scholarship (based on character, academics and

athletics)

 

Class of 1961 Alumni Scholarship (based on academic performance, leadership, and need)

 

HHS Student Council Scholarship (priority given to those without any financial aid,

must have over 2.0 GPA and be a full time college student)

 

Tina "Smiley" Cooper Memorial Scholarship (based on academic performance, leadership, and need)

 

Nathan Hogsed Memorial Scholarship (must have 2.0 GPA)

 

The Community Service Scholarship (based on academic achievement, community service involvement, good citizenship, leadership skills and must maintain at least a B average or better)

 

HHS Alumni Scholarship (based on academic success, school and community involvement, good character, financial need and must maintain a grade point average of at least a 3.25). This scholarship will be selected by the Alumni Scholarship Selection Committee

 

Good Shepherd Hospice Auxiliary/Grannie’s Attic Scholarship (must be going into medical field)                                                 

 

­­­Darryl McClure Basketball Scholarship (senior female basketball player)

 

Bubblegum Scholarship (must have at least a 2.0 GPA)

 

Make ‘em Fumble (football player with at least a 2.0 GPA)

 

Nantahala Bank Scholarship (based on academics, character, leadership and community service)

 

The Chief Parker Scholarship (Vocational student with at least a 2.0 GPA)

 

United Community Bank  Scholarship (based on academics, character, leadership and community service)

 

The Clay County Tractor Club Scholarship (Must be going into one of the following fields:                   

 Land Management; Agriculture; Surveyor; Forestry/Wildlife)

 

The Thomas E. Skinner Memorial Scholarship (must be going into the teaching field with at   

  least at least a 2.0 GPA)

 

Brent Worley Memorial Scholarship  (Student must be an exceptional education student with an identified learning disability and a GPA of 2.9 or higher)

 

Century 21 in the Mountains Scholarship

(student with financial need, B average or better,

with community involvement and good citizenship)

 

Friends of Moss Memorial Library Scholarship (must be going into the education field)

 

Shooting Creek Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary Scholarship (based on academic performance, leadership and need and must live in the Shooting Creek Fire District)                                                                                                            

 

 

 

 

Barrett & Associates Work Ethic Scholarship (students must have at least a 2.0 GPA, worked a part-time job during high school and not receiving much financial aid

 

Clay County Board of Realtors Scholarship

(student with financial need, B average or better, with community involvement and good citizenship)

 

The Buck Carney Memorial Scholarship (senior member of the Track & Field or Cross-Country team)
