Zach Moss

Hello, my name is Zachary Moss and welcome to the exciting world of Biology, Honors Biology, Advanced Biology, and Earth Science! I hope your child will enjoy these courses as we experience the excitement of learning about all forms of life, and the world in which they live. These are fun but challenging courses. I want you to know that I am committed to helping your child succeed. I will always facilitate learning, excpect your child to try, try, try again, and challenge your child to reach is or her potential. In addition to teaching at Hayesville High School I also coach Men's and Women's Track and Cross Country. I love basketball, so you will see me keeping the clock for all of our home basketball games as well.

Here a few facts about me. In 2002, I graduated from Mars Hill College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology Education. I began teaching Earth Science, Chemistry, and Chemistry II in Rutherford County, NC. Following a year in Rutherford County, I worked in Macon County teaching 6th grade Science. I taught there 3 years, where I met my wife Elizabeth. Elizabeth and I have a son named Micah, who is such a blessing from God. In addition to teaching and coaching, I am very involved in my local church as a youth leader, sportsman's ministry leader, and deacon. I sing in a gospel group called HIStory. If I am not teaching or at church you will probably find me in the woods hunting, fishing, camping, running, etc.

I love the world that I live in and this love is what spaked my interest for Science. I can honestly say that I enjoy teaching in my current position at Hayesville High School, and am proud to be a part of such a wonderful faculty that truly cares for people.
